Not related to Chery, lol, but since it's the only Chinese car option out there I'll share my experience. I've had a Chery Arrizo for 2 years now, and overall it's been a smooth ride with minimal maintenance issues. Just gotta keep an eye on those tires as they can wear out quickly.
