Title: Can Blockchain Replace Traditional Database Management Systems?

So, I've been thinking, blockchain technology has come a long way since its inception, but can it really replace traditional DBMS? I mean, the decentralized, immutable nature of blockchain sounds great in theory, but how does it stack up in terms of scalability and performance compared to industry giants like MySQL and PostgreSQL? Any thoughts from the blockchain and DB management experts out there?

"imo, blockchain can definitely complement traditional DBMS, but replacing it entirely might not be necessary. The decentralized and immutable nature of blockchain adds an extra layer of security, but it can be overkill for most use cases. I'd say it's better suited for specific industries like supply chain management or voting systems."
