"BYD E6 Electric SUV: Worth the Hype?"

Just got back from a test drive of the BYD E6 and I'm torn on this thing - on one hand, the range is insane (over 300 miles on a single charge), but on the other, the lack of any major EV charging network in my area has me worried about reliability. Has anyone else got hands-on experience with this thing? What are your thoughts on the E6's worth the hype?
