Title: Broke my GPU, don't wanna drop $1000 on a new one... anyone tried repairing their NVIDIA Ampere?

"Hey guys, just had a nightmare - my RTX 3080 has a blown capacitor and I'm not about to shell out 1k for a replacement. Has anyone out there tried repairing or fixing an Ampere series GPU? Thinking there might be some DIY tutorials or repair services out there that could save me some cash."

"Dude, I feel you. I had my 3080 Ti Rtx blown with a surge, and I did try to RMA but they said it was a user error. Ended up selling it for parts, got a new GPU for way cheaper"

"Dude, I feel ya. I had a similar experience with my 3080 a year ago, but I didn't bother repairing it. Check out some YouTube videos on reballing and reflowing the GPU, it might be worth a shot before buying new."

"Dude, I've heard mixed reviews on repairing Ampere GPUs, to be honest. Some people say it's not worth the trouble and the cost of spare parts, while others have had success replacing just the damaged component. You might wanna check online forums or Reddit for more info before deciding."

"Sorry to hear that bro! I've seen some YouTube tutorials on repairing Ampere GPUs, but be warned, it's pretty involved and requires some serious knowledge of electronics. Definitely not a DIY for beginners, but if you're up for the challenge, it might be worth a shot."
