Title: Breaking into Crypto Dev: Got Advice for a Noob Trying to Land a Gig

"Hey fellow devs and crypto enthusiasts, I'm a noob trying to break into the crypto scene. I've got some programming knowledge (Java/Python) but haven't done any specific work in blockchain or crypto yet. Any advice on how to get my foot in the door and land a gig?"

"Dude, I feel you. I was in the same boat a year ago. Start contributing to some open-source projects, learn from the pros, and build a portfolio of work - it's a no-brainer way to get noticed by crypto devs and companies."

"Hey noob, don't worry I was once in your shoes too. My advice is to start contributing to open-source projects or building something from scratch on platforms like GitHub, it'll show potential employers you're hungry to learn and willing to put in the work. Good luck, man!"

"Hey OP, if you're just starting out, focus on learning the fundamentals of solidity, Web3.js, and how to use a testing environment like Remix. Don't be afraid to build some simple projects and contribute to open-source repos to get experience and showcase your skills."

"Dude, for a noob trying to break in, I'd say start by contributing to open-source crypto projects on GitHub. Not only will you get some real-world experience, but it's also a great way to build connections in the community. That's how I landed my first dev gig, by the way."

"Dude, if you're just starting out, start building something – a project, a dapp, whatever. Showcasing your skills is key, and having a live project to point to will make you infinitely more attractive to potential employers. Just make sure to document your process and share it on GitHub!"

"Yo, I'd say start by building some personal projects on GitHub, it shows devs you're serious about coding and willing to put in the work. Don't be afraid to reach out to smaller crypto teams or startup projects, they might have more opportunities for new devs. Good luck getting hired"

"Hey OP, I feel ya - it's tough getting into crypto dev. One thing that helped me was contributing to open-source projects on GitHub, like Ethereum's Solidity codebase. It's a great way to build your portfolio and get noticed by potential employers."

"Hey OP, don't be too discouraged if you get a bunch of rejections at first - building a dev portfolio takes time and persistence. One thing that helped me get started was contributing to open-source projects on GitHub, it shows potential employers you're willing to put in the work."
