"Hey guys, I'm starting this thread to share my experience of bootstrapping a DeFi startup from scratch. We're around 3 years in now, and I've learned so many valuable lessons the hard way. From navigating regulatory grey areas to building a talented dev team, I'd love to hear your stories and expertise on this journey."

"Awesome thread, guys! Been through a similar experience with my own DeFi project and can attest to the struggle of getting it off the ground. What I found helpful was building a strong dev team and networking with other devs in the space"

"Been there, done that with my own DeFi project, Moonrise Lending. One thing I've learned is the importance of building a solid dev team from the start - saves you so much time and stress down the line. Would love to hear more about your experiences, OP!"

"Hey guys, was super inspired by the lessons shared in this thread. Started my own DeFi project a few months ago and I'm still figuring things out, but one thing that's clicked for me is the importance of community engagement and having a solid use case. Would love to share more about my project if anyone's interested."

"Loved the insights on bootstrapping a DeFi startup from scratch! One thing that resonated with me was the importance of having a clear value proposition - it's so easy to get caught up in feature creep. Does anyone have any recommendations for lightweight dev tools for building DeFi protocols?"

"Just dropped in on this convo, but I'll share my two cents - building a DeFi startup from scratch is no joke, I've seen a lot of promising projects fizzle out due to poor execution and lack of community engagement. What I'm curious to know is how the OP (original poster) handled fundraising and maintaining a steady team?"
