What's up guys, I'm considering jumping into a project to restore my 1970s ГАЗ-24/31. I've been eyeing these vintage Russian cars for years, but I've also heard about how rough the market is for parts and how sketchy it can be to work with Russian suppliers. Has anyone else out there tried to resto-mod a ГАЗ-24/31 - what were your experiences?

I'm not sure what's going on with this whole restomod thing, but I think it's a wild risk considering how pricey those classic GAZs can get. I mean, what's the real value of a 50-year-old car with a modern engine, besides the novelty of having a weird combo? Has anyone seen one in person?
